The Arenal Hanging Bridges are located on a 600 acre private reserve near Lake Arenal. The reserve has an impressive and varied array of bird and animal species and your experienced guide will help you to spot and identify as many as possible. The trail you will hike on is a loop consisting of 3.1 km that crosses over a total of 15 bridges; 9 stables and 6 hanging.

The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is considered by many to be of the best spots for bird watching on the continent, besides that, Caño Negro is also home to many animal species such as: sloths, three species of monkeys, caiman, lizards and bats. Caño Negro is also home to many plant species commonly found in tropical wetlands. To see this beautiful region we will travel by van to the town of Los Chiles near the Nicaragua border where we will board a covered boat and head up river.

Tour Description
This tour starts with a drive to the Observatory Lodge where we will begin our hike towards the extinct crater of Cerro Chato, passing through dense primary rainforest along the way. Once we reach the top you will be able to see and take pictures of the Arenal lake in Cerro Chato`s crater. The final section of the hike consists of descending from the crater all the way down on the La Fortuna Waterfall. Before leaving the waterfall you will have the chance to take a dip in its refreshing waters. High degree difficulty.

Tour Description
This tour start at 8 am a.m. with a visit to the Arenal Hanging Bridges for a 3 km hike. From the we will back through town to the La Fotuna Waterfall where you will have the opportunity swin in an invating poll at the base of the falls. Lunch at the restaurant is next followed by a hike in the Arenal Volcano National Park which includes a visit to a large lava flow from 1992. Last but not least we will stop at Tabacon Hot Spring to soak in the hot spring and an enjoyable dinner.

This tour starts with a drive to the town of La Virgen de Sarapiqui. Once at the river and following a safety briefing we will hit the water for a ten mile ride over call III rapids that will take approximately 2 hours. Upon leaving the river we will have a delicious typical lunch before heading back to La Fortuna.
